Cronivir Tablet Uses

Cronivir Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
  • Compensated or decompensated liver disease
  • Liver infection
  • Hiv patients infected with hepatitis b virus

What are the side-effects of Cronivir Tablet?

The most commonly reported side-effects of Cronivir Tablet are headache, sleepiness, inability to sleep, indigestion, nausea, and vomiting.
The following is a list of possible side effects that may occur from the use of Cronivir Tablet. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away.
  • Headache
  • Sleepiness
  • Inability to sleep
  • Indigestion
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Worsening of hepatitis b infection
  • Unusual tiredness
  • Loose motions
  • Increased levels of liver enzymes in blood
  • Dizziness
  • Rash
  • Lactic acidosis
  • Hair loss
  • Severe allergic reactions

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Some people develop lactic acidosis while taking entecavir. Early symptoms may get worse over time and this condition can be fatal. Get emergency medical help if you have even mild symptoms such as:

muscle pain or weakness;
numb or cold feeling in your arms and legs;
trouble breathing;
feeling dizzy, light-headed, tired, or very weak;
stomach pain, nausea with vomiting; or
fast or uneven heart rate.
Entecavir may also cause severe liver symptoms. Call your doctor at once if you have: nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, tired feeling, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
